From New York Mag, "Saturday will be a total and complete washout as a nor’easter makes its way up the Eastern Seaboard. Drenching rains will start in the wee morning hours, and get heavier and heavier as the day goes on."
That statement for the most part was true. It was not a washout for us! NOOOOO, spent most of our day outside today and did a lot of touring. Umbrellas and ponchos were purchased and most people did a pretty good job of staying dray.
We started our day off meeting our now three time tour guide, Robert, at the hotel. He then led us right into the New York lifestyle, we hopped on the subway to breakfast at Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan.
Walking from breakfast to the ferry was when most people noticed they'd probably want to purchase an umbrella for the day. Was a smart move. We caught the first ferry to the Statue of Liberty so we were able to complete what we wanted in a timely manner as the ferry wasn't super full.

This thing is nasty. The inspectors would use it to lift your eye lids to see if you had a disease. No, they didn't clean it after each use.

We then made our way up to Trinity Church and walked around. This church was the setting for the exciting treasure scenes in National Treasure.
Alexander Hamilton's Grave
We then got to walk through a newer structure complex in New York, the Oculus. It is a transportation hub and shopping mall at the World Trade Center sight. The architecture is amazing.
It was then time to see the September 11, 2001 memorial and museum. All of the victims of 9/11 have their names surrounding the building they were in. If there is a flower on their name it means it is that person's birthday that day.
After dinner the group did a quick stop at the M & M's Store. Kids had a good time.
A couple boys wanted to take pictures in the photo booth. They didn't realize everybody on the outside got to watch it as well!!!!
We are thoroughly enjoying all the pics and videos you post! Thank you!🤗
