After what seemed like a million years, we finally made it to Boston, Massachusetts.
We were delayed about an
hour in Honolulu to get to San Francisco, which made our comfortable layover in
San Francisco a quick walk to the next gate and get on the next plane. It
worked out though okay. Most of us slept on that overnight flight to Boston.

One of many graves |
We've had an action packed
first day. We started off with a breakfast buffet, which was great because we
needed to fill our stomachs up with fuel. We ended up walking a lot today. We
started walking through the Boston Commons, a big park. Then visited the Old
Granary Burial ground. This burial ground has many famous people from American
history buried there including: Sam Adams, John Hancock, Paul Revere, the
victims of the Boston Massacre, Benjamin Franklin's parents, and many more. We
then continued on the Freedom Trail and linked up with the site of the Boston Massacre,
Old North Church, Paul Revere's House, Little Italy, Quincy Market, Faneuil
Hall, and a Holocaust Memorial.

After lunch we drove out to
Lexington and Concord to see where the Revolutionary War started and where Paul
Revere was riding to warn the countryside that the British were coming. Got to
walk where men fell on the Lexington Green and walk across the bridge in
Concord where the Minutemen drove off the British and sent them running back to
Boston.

Off to
dinner. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe where most people enjoyed burgers and
fries.

Then,
off to Fenway Park! We got to see the Red Sox take on the Twins. The Red Sox
gave up two runs in the first but chipped away over the course of the game.
Lucky us, we got to see a Shane Victorino home run! The Red Sox were ahead in
the 9th inning but coughed up a home run and the Twins tied it up. The Red Sox
were unable to score in the bottom of the 9th and by that time there were a lot
of tired and cold people and another early wakeup...... So we had to leave with the game tied going into
extra innings. Right when we got to the hotel they told us the Red Sox won so
pretty cool we got to see a game that they won.

Now at the hotel we can finally bathe and get
some rest. Coming tomorrow is leaving the hotel at 8:30 AM for more touring of
Boston, and in the evening, driving down to New York City! Stay tuned!
